BLM - Alaska Fire Service
Multi-Zone EFF (Emergency Firefighter) Program
BLM Alaska Fire Service uses type 2 EFF/AD wildland fire crews to supplement their regular workforce in the event of wildfire emergencies. Our EFF Crew Program consists of over 500 individual AD firefighters across three fire management zones in northern interior Alaska. We manage and support approximately 10 - 15 Type 2 EFF crews for use on an as needed basis when regular agency crews are not available.
